What is Janet's Law?
“Janet’s Law,” was made in memory of Janet Zilinski, an 11-year old girl who died of sudden cardiac arrest during cheerleading practice in Warren, New Jersey. The law, which took effect in 2014, was created to prevent another tragedy and safeguard the lives of New Jersey’s K-12 students by requiring schools to be equipped with an AED (automated external defibrillator).
